Salzburg celebrates its Genius: In 2006 all of Austria is celebrating Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's 250th birtday. Staying at Hotel Hansi in Bad Reichenhall and joining in the celebrations at one of the numerous events in Salzburg. Enjoy one of the Don Giovanni performances at the Salzburg Festival in August 2006. In the thirty-five short years of his life the prodigy composed more than six hundred known works from serenata and symphonies, to oratorias, concertos and operas. The city of Salzburg has created an impressive year-round festival program. Mozarts native city is celebrating the momentous occasion, where over a span of nearly six weeks, all the musical genius's twenty-two works composed for the stage will be presented during Salzburg Festival. |
